Idaho has enjoyed tremendous freedom in home education in recent years. Since 1992, ICHE has protected these freedoms. However, the participation of every home educating family is needed to continue in this endeavor. As the recent challenges to home education have increased, the costs to effectively respond have multiplied significantly. ICHE is an Idaho, non-profit corporation with an all-volunteer staff. Donations and membership fees are the sole support of this organization. With a small investment on the part of each home educating family, ICHE will remain strong and viable. CHE membership is open to those who support the right to privately home educate, regardless of educational choice, religious affiliation, or age. ICHE membership is independent of HSLDA and CHOIS.
